Privacy Policy — QuickSign
Effective date: March 30, 2026
Last updated: March 30, 2026
Butler Labs LLC ("Butler Labs", "we", "our", "us") operates the QuickSign – Sign PDF Documents mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Documents: PDF files you open or import are processed entirely on your device. We never upload your documents to our servers.
- Purchases: Subscription and purchase transactions are handled by Apple's App Store. We do not receive your payment information.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Crash reports: If the App crashes, anonymised diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack trace) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC). No personally identifiable information is included.
- Usage analytics: We use TelemetryDeck to collect privacy-preserving usage statistics. All user identifiers are hashed with SHA-256 before transmission and stored on servers located in Germany. TelemetryDeck does not track you across apps or devices.
- Subscription analytics: Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.) collects anonymised subscription and revenue data to help us manage in-app purchases. Adapty does not collect personal data beyond what is necessary for subscription management.
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
- We do not access your contacts, location, or microphone.
- QuickSign does not require an account to use.
2. On-Device AI Processing
QuickSign uses on-device machine learning models (Apple's Vision framework) to detect signature fields in PDF documents. All AI processing occurs locally on your device. No document content is sent to external servers for AI analysis.
3. How We Use Information
We use the automatically collected data solely to:
- Diagnose and fix crashes and bugs
- Understand how features are used so we can improve the App
- Manage subscriptions and process refunds

- Apple App Store (Apple Inc.) — Distribution & payments — apple.com/legal/privacy
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
Crash and analytics data is retained for up to 90 days. We do not retain any document content.
6. Children's Privacy
QuickSign is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at privacy@butlerlabs.io and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights

EU/EEA residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing analytics data is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the App. You may object to this processing at any time.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard technical measures to protect the limited data we collect. Because documents are processed on-device, your sensitive files are never exposed to network transmission.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
